Systolic hypertension
Diastloic reading is normal ranging from seventy five to ninety. Systolic reading is high around one forty to one fifety five. all blood tests r normal .ecg normal. What may be the cause. I m worried that i may hv to resort to life long antihypertensive treatment.taking low salt and oil free diet. But systolic is not coming down .once i hv also recorded a reading of one seventy over seventy

Its called essential hypertension if all other causes are ruled out. I don't see a mention of renal Doppler. Get that done too and those kind of readings definitely need antihypertensives, whether life long or not is secondary. All causes shall be ruled out along with keeping ur bp in normal range. See a cardiologist asap
