hello since you have an ankle sprain i would suggest u take rest, u could use a crepe bandage so that the swelling reduces. make sure u dont walk with that foot as the swelling might not reduce. u could use antiinflammatory drugs as well. if u dont improve u need to consult an orthopedician.
I would advise you to visit an orthopedician so that you can be examined and undergo investigations such as X-Ray to rule out any underlying fractures so that you can be treated accordingly. The following steps may help:
- Avoid applying pressure on the foot
- Placing foot in cold water with salt
- Applying an ice back over the swelling for 10-15 mins 3-4 times a day
- Using a crepe bandage to keep the ankle immobilized
- Keep the leg raised on a chair while sitting
- Keep the leg raised on two pillows while lying down
Next Steps
Follow the steps as advised

Hi..u should definitely consult an orthopaedician as the pain and swelling is still there..he would ideally suggest an x Ray after physical examination and then prescribe u medications for the pain and swelling..
