Swollen lymph nodes
Is it possible for lymph nodes to stay swollen even after infection is gone. I had swollen lymph nodes for 6 months. It is bit painfull and moveable. Its size is constant throughout. Fnac and us says it is secondary to any infection. What should be my next steps? I had no any other symtoms.

Yes I have had many patients who gave a similar history as yours and their results were normal . Only one word of caution is just observe if size of node increases and it becomes fixed or hard. If so, you have to do a repeat biopsy and rule out any other causes . Otherwise , it’s safe to be left alone and stop worrying about it. And also kindly stop touching it daily as it will only make only more odematous and painful. Hope this help you .
