Swelling thumb and pain

Asked for Male, 27 Years

I picked up arnd 100kgs of furniture while shifting house gradually pain started just below my thumb palm side there's a small light red patch & it's with swelling and pain since last 5 days. I have been having a pain killer enzoflam but that's only temporary relief. Please advice this condition and appropriate action. Thank you.

Hello, sounds like a bruise. Should settle in 2-3 weeks. Is the function in thumb normal? Dr M Vashishtha FRCS dr-MV.com
