Swelling in back of head
I am having a swelling of approx half inch wide and 2 inches long at the back of my head, it's under the hairs below my left ear, from the place where my neck is meeting the hairs of head, towards the left section, extending upwards towards the ear. It does not pain and not causing any problem, but is very concerning because of its closeness to head. Which specialist doc should I be visiting. Shown to 3 gen physician, as per them no issues it is just fat deposit, one physician suggested to get it tested through a gen surgeon. What are possible tests to rule out any complications. Is it possible that it may lead to some complicated issue going forward.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  A painless, non compressible swelling that you are talking about could be a lipoma. Its not harmful. Get it checked out by a general surgeon in person for further evaluation.  Best regards.  Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
