Swelling between Ear and Jaw
Hi, I have swelling between my ear and jaw along with fever and headache for last 3 days. The swelling came all of a sudden and was only one side of my face. Gradually it spread to three localized areas towards one side only (right hand side). Looking at the symptoms my friend suggested that I have Salivary gland Infection and hence I started with Antibiotic (Amoxicillin + Clavulanate 675) along with Combiflam and Limcee. I kept warm water bag as well. But despite this, it's not subsiding rather the swelling has spread to my ear (resulting in constant pain inside ear) and now it's occurring towards other side of my face as well. (same three localized areas in symmetry). Could you pls help with the diagnosis and tell me which kind of doctor should I visit for examination?

You seem to be suffering from acute parotitis which is a common type of parotid gland infection commonly cause by viruses. Usually it will resolve on its own within few days. You need to take symptomatic treatment like painkillers and antiseptic mouth gargle for few days
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
