Swelling Below Eye
It is for my Elder Brother 54 years old. For the past few months he has swelling below both the eyes when he gets up after sleep. More specifically once he gets up in the morning. He recently has a health check up. Most parameters were normal. Has BP in the range of 140/80 and 150/80. CBC normal. Hemoglobin 14.5. Blood Glucose 91. Lipid profile normal. LDL 126. SGPT 46.30 and Uric Acid 7.5. What can be the reason? Diagnosis important. Last year November 2025 has a cataract operation in right eye. Not using any specs. Please Guide.

Morning under-eye swelling in your brother likely comes from age-related thinning of eyelid tissues. Or it could due to water retention He should see ophthalmology and rheumatology for uric acid and BP management, along with hydration, low salt, and a low-purine diet to help reduce swelling.
