Swelling and Pain at vaccine inj site
Sir, My Son with 16 months boy vaccinated yesterday, and at injection site there is a swelling and severe pain and my kid is suffering with fever also. We are giving paracetamol drops but not getting well. Please suggest us the best therapy.

Dear parent,                        Mild pain , swelling at vaccination site and mild fever is expected with few vaccines.usually it will subside by 48 hrs.continue giving paracetamol for 2 days every 6th hrly.check whether u are giving correct dose according to his weight. U can apply ice pack wrapped in a cloth over injection site intermittently..
Next Steps
consult doctor if there is high fever, excessive crying or irritablility.
