Swallowed magnesium wrong pipe.
Hello
I think I swallowed my magnesium supplement via wrong pipe. It didn’t feel like going through the right pipe. However there is no cough or discomfort. How can I be sure it didn’t go through wrong pipe? It is making me very anxious.

Hi... when you swallow anything your wind pipe automatically gets closed and the bolus of food is directed towards the oesophagus or the food pipe. So there are very rare chances of something going into your wind pipe except the air that you breathe..
If at all something you swallow accidentally you get cough and the wind pipe tries to expel it out via severe coughing causing severe discomfort.
But as per your saying you didn’t experience any such symptoms so it probably rules out the possibility of a wrong thing happening. No need to worry it seems everything is proper and normal.
