Suspected sigmoid lesion
Hi Doctor, My mom has a swelling in her left Lowe belly and been to doctor and doctor is asking to do colonoscopy as he is suspecting sigmoid lesion. She doesn't have any such symptomps and lesion is not growing. Can doctor identify the sigmoid lesion by examining the stomach? Are all sigmoid lesions are cancerous? Pls reply i Doctor,

Yes colonoscopy can detect lesion in sigmoid colon. Whether cancerous or not depends on many factors.
