Suspect Empty Nose syndrome
I underwent septoplasty 6 months back to correct my deviated septum. Since then I am facing problems breathlessness and cannot sleep at night at all. I also have dry nose and feels that the air dosent reach the lungs. I consulted the doctor and he said its allergy but I dont think so. Now I suspect that it is empty nose syndrome. Can ENS be cured?

Empty nose syndrome occurs after extensive nasal surgery such as septoplasty with inferior turbinate excision or extensive endoscopic sinus surgery. There are many other causes for dryness and nasal obstruction after surgery. You can get a diagnostic nasal endoscopy and CT scan of paranasal sinuses to confirm the diagnosis
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
