Surgery while on immunosuppressive drug
I have been suffering from active vitiligo for many years.currently on immunosuppressive medicine Tofatas 5mg twice a day(Monday-saturday every week). Recently I have injured my shoulder and it needs surgery to fix this. I am worried how the immunosuppressive drug will impact surgery outcome and healing process. Please advise on this .

It depends on the dosage of immunosuppression. Tofatas gets cleared from your system very quickly... You can stop medicine for a week or so before surgery.. and it would affect the surgical healing.. even if u get operated when on tofatas 5mg it's not a big deal.. the delay in healing would be very insignificant .. don't be concerned
Next Steps
consult your treating physician or a rheumatologist for more specific advice
