Supraumbilical Hernia
My report states - Evidence of well defined anterior wall defect of approximately 20 mm seen at supra umbilical region with herniation of bowel loops. Is this dangerous ? As i am having fever for few days now and stomach discomfort too. Should i go for a surgery ? Is it safe ?

Your hernia is already showing bowel loops in the herniating sac. So further complications like indigestion, pain, discomfort and obstruction are more likely in your future in which case u might have to rush for surgery where surgery could be more extensive and complex due to worsening of your hernia. Instead, it is always advisable to go for a planned surgery as soon as u can. Hernia rarely causes fever. Your fever could be due to some other cause. Try to contact Physician for ur fever and strictly Surgeon's consultation for hernia
