Suggestion regarding medicine.
I suffer from GAD with panic disorder and health anxiety.
I went to a Psychiatrist and he prescribed me Escitalopram 10 mg which I am taking.
He also prescribed me antipsychotic drug Aripiprazole 2 mg.
- I want to know why is antipsychotic drug given to GAD patient like me.
- And for how long will i need to take Aripiprazole as i am afraid to take it.
I am taking Escitalopram happily on other side.

Aripeprazole 2 mg is not an antipsychotic dose it is given in addition to main treatment to maximise its effectiveness so no need to worry you can continue
