Suffering with Hernia
I have consulted with general surgeon on abdomen bloated and was confirmed due to hernia. It was suggested to undergo a surgery. Wanted to know different alternatives to cure this problem (with or without surgery). If surgery is mandatory, then estimated cost of surgery and post procedures.

Hernia belt is a good alternative to Surgery. But remember , it has to be worn ‘always’. And even while you are on the belt, any time you might require a hernia surgery... Ya, if the bowel comes out into the hernial sac and gets strangulated, you might need a more complicated surgery, sometimes requiring bowel resections. Better to operate before hand when it’s quiet. Cost depends on the type, size and place of hernia (viz. femoral/inguinal/epigastric) If you are in South Bengaluru, Hosur is a good option.
