Suffering from trichotillomania
I was diagnosed with trichotillomania approx. 3 years ago. I briefly sought help from a counselor but her practice shut up before we could work on stopping the hair pulling. I’m (still) pulling my hair out when I’m stressed, bored, driving and even having a conversation with someone. The urge to pull and feel the strand of hair scrape between my nails is constant and prevents me from sleeping. I’m thinking about using N-acetylcysteine to see if it helps but I don’t know what dose to start on.
