Is it possible that amitriptyline 50mg can raise blood pressure. I felt when I take 25mg then blood pressure is normal but when I exceed it to 50 mg then my blood pressure become 130/94. So I want to replace it into sertraline 50mg and 25mg amitriptyline. And after 15 days I will further reduce the dose of amitriptyline. Please suggest what will be better as I am suffering from anxiety and moderate depression since much earlier about 5-7 years.

Hello
Ideally you should be on only one antidepressant and SSRI gp ie sertraline is 1st line in comparison to amitryptline
But if you have sleep disturbance as well then amitryptline would suit you better.
As far as cardiac side effects are concerned sertraline is much safer than amitryptline
Next Steps
consult your psychiatrist for expert advise

Both are good medicines.
Variations in bp are possible with amitriptyline , but rarely at low dosage.
Depending on the target symptoms, the adjustment can be made.
