Sudden Loss of beard hair in some areas
Hello doctor, I am facing loss of beard hairs in some areas of face . I consulted with dermatologists and took tablets also. Now that tablets got over and it's been more than 4 months i started my treatment.Dr said it's because of Excoriation. He gave gel and ointments also. But that is not cured yet. I just wants to know what will be the next. I came abroad for a business visit. Is there any possibilities of curing that with tablets or injections.

You may be having alopecia areata. this is an autoimmune condition due to the attack of lymphocytes against hair roots. It results in the formation of bald patches on the scalp. It can affect any hairy area of the body also like eyebrows and  beard. It has to be treated properly for long duration until the immunity comes down. Once the immunity is controlled, hair grows back over the patches. Please call me or contact me with photos using online consult option for accurate diagnosis and treatment. ,
