Sudden hearing loss
My daughter suddenly not able to hear any sound on both her ears. She had an episode of stomach upset last week with fever and vomiting and was on paracetamol and emeset. we are communicating with her through actions. She is able to lip- read us. mri, ct and xray is normal. pta test indicated right ear mod snhl.

She should be put on high dose betahistine with systemic steroids to remove all the viral toxins before the deafness becomes permanent. Go to the nearest good corporate hospital with good ENT department. She will probably require to be admitted for a few days.
