Sudden breakout
In my 20 years of life, I have never really experienced acne problems. Hardly I had one or two pimples. But recently, my face is filled with these lil pimple-like looking things. Actually I m not sure they are rashes or pimples. I'm not allergic to anything. I'm not doing anything unusual, just continuing with my normal skin care regime. And eating well. These are increasing day-by-day. What should I do at this point of time?

Greetings! thanks for the query. Acne is a common problem in your age group. Treatment depends on the severity and extent of the problem. The aim is to control the acne first followed by dealing with complications like scarring/ hyper pigmentation. Mild acne can be treated with topical treatment (creams/ gels) containing a combination of "Retinoids" and antibiotics (Clindamycin/ Benzoyl peroxide etc). Severe acne needs oral medications (like Tetracyclines etc.) in addition to topical treatment.
Next Steps
Please visit a Dermatologist for evaluation and customised treatment plan for your condition.
Health Tips
Do not wash face more than twice a day as excess washing and scrubbing may cause more inflammation and possibly make acne worse. Use a fragrance free, water based moisturising cream. Do not use ointments or oil rich creams.
