Subconjunctival Haemorrhage
I was having blood in the white part of my eye beside the eye ball. The doctor said it to be Subconjunctival Haemorrhage and prescribed Nevanac Eye drop. is this something serious?
It looks scary. Will this completely go away?

Don't worry. It will go on its own. It will take around 1 to 2 weeks to clear up.
Continue putting nevanac eye drop And do cold compression

It's a subconjunctival bleed.
It can occur after a sudden or severe sneeze or cough, heavy lifting, straining, vomiting or even rubbing one's eyes too roughly.
It can also occur as a side effect of eye surgery or blood thinners or sudden shoot up of blood pressure.
It is mostly self resolving.
Usually it disappears within two weeks.
Warning signs should be ruled out like pain, diminished vision, floaters means floating mosquito in front of eye etc.
Blood pressure should be checked.
Avoid rubbing
Maintain hygeine
Avoid weight lifting.
Avoid any strains

It will go away completely in 10-15 days.
But you should get your blood pressure checked. If it is high, then consult a physician.
