Stroke 18 months ago Right side paralys
Did many physiotherapy having 18 months of paralysis shoulder sublexsation, able to walk anyhow hand is not moving frequently. Now from 6 months there is extreme heaviness in the right side. How it will be go away is there any solution?

Use of Bobath arm sling is necessary to prevent the shoulder sublactation. Try out for Goal oriented activities. Reassessment is necessary from the physiotherapist and from the consultant Neurology Doctor More session of exercises to be carried out by the family members.

Proper position of the patient is vital during lying.and sitting. Encouragement is necessary.

Continue physio rehab to centre or by home visit.. also follow up with neurologist.. usually Leg recover faster than upper limb/ hand..  continue to work for recovery Even in pandemic to get results.. discuss your recent problem with your physio.. change or upgrade in exercise can help you with heaviness complain

Is he continuing any neuro medicine? Which part of the brain affected? Is there any improvement or changes from the previous brain scan and current report? What are the Physiotherapy exercises he did and continuing?

Hi, heaviness because of poor mobility and spasticity? And really wish to c u if possible. Please get a Neurophysiotherapist and evaluate once again who is really good in hands on treatment. Aquatic therapy will be helpful which we have seen here in chennai with our clients. Aquatic helps you with reducing your tone and spasticity and helps in movement, yes of course you need muscle relaxants and other medication

You need proper evaluation . Need to check Which exercises are you doing. Need neurophysician consultation and Physiotherapy. Also every body is different and takes it own time to heal. We cant say how much time it will take. But Physiotherapy treatment, regularly exercises will definitely help.
