Strep throat
I got diagnosed with strep throat 2 days ago and have been on amoxicillin. My symptoms have gone away but my tonsils are really swollen still. It doesn't hurt just feels like my throat is swollen.

You should get your blood test done for routine Hb%, TC, DC, Rbc, ESR, ASO titre after taking the course of antibiotic. If ASO titre and ESR is high you should go for tonsil operation, otherwise there are chances of complications like rheumatic heart disease, rheumatic arthritis and glomerulonephritis.Apart from these serious complications there are chances of recurrent sore throat ,fever and associated morbidities.
