I had vp shunt surgery 5 years ago! im doing well after that! i have been using levipil 500 for 5 years,but i did not have any seizure in my life time.i have reduced the dosage like im taking once in two days! can i stop the medication now

VP shunt will be done for various reasons. If the problem at the onset caused brain scarring ,then you may have a small risk of recurrent seizures. Otherwise a eeg of brain is advised before stopping anti epileptic drug.
