There is nothing called ideal age for stopping breastfeeding. Depends on each child. As they grow older they would stick to feeding only during the time of sleep. Remaining times you can stop... So minimum age until when feeding to be continued is around 15-24 months. And please don't stop abruptly. Give sometime and space for the baby to get accommodated

Breast feeding is complemented with other foods from 6 mths of age........ that means that only breast feeding is not sufficient for the baby....from 6 months onwards
Here we are talking about 18 months old.....
I think breast feeding is just a placebo at this age...
And of no nutritive value
