Stool entamoeba coli/bacteria present

Asked for Male, 28 Years

I have been facing nausea, vomiting, visceral hypersensitivity, feeling of itching on abdomen and stickiness inside abdomen and constipation since 1.5 yrs after an chronic episode of diarrhea ( started while using pantop 40 mg twice a day for 45 days) treated with rifagut for 2 weeks. Used medications acogut, pruease, pand but in vain. Cbp, lft, ultrasound are normal. Lately, stool test was suggested result was entamoeba coli/ bacteria present. Please kindly suggest what we are missing on diagnosis part.

Entamoeba coli is a non pathogenic commensal in the digestive tract. It does not require any specific treatment. Your chronic symptoms ( including visceral hypersensitivity as you described) are likely due to functional GI disorder ( Irritable bowel syndrome/ IBS).
