Staph rash
Hi last summer i went to the derm because i had a rash on my face and they ran tests and diagnosed a staph infection and during the summer i went on week long beach trips and noticed it kept coming back after sun exposure and i haven’t had any signs of it since then. I was just wondering if it could come back this summer due to time in the sun? Can sun trigger another infection?

If you have been getting recurrent staph infection it is possible you also have some underlying skin disease like atopic dermatitis which can increase their predisposition to develop recurrent infections. Also using the wrong sunscreen could be causing occlusion folliculitis so you could consider changing the sunscreen when you step out into the sun this time. Hope this is helpful.
