Is SRUS serious condition? Can it turn to cancer? I was diagnosed with it 2 years ago.. symptom was severe bleeding every week! Some tissue was biopsied but it revealed mild inflammation ( proctitis) the Mesacol course taken for 10 days stopped bleeding... no more bleeding since 2 years but pain is dere.. also have haemorroids
Just want to know does SRUS cause pain? How often to monitor that? I was told after 2 years colonoscopy is to be repeated in my case

It's a non malignant condition. You need to stop straining at stool. If you have habit of manual evacuation of stool, you need to stop it. It may cause pain. As such you need to change your behaviour... No such protocol I heard for repeat colonoscopy.
