Sputum/mucus problem from last 1 year

Asked for Male, 37 Years

I am having a sputum/mucus problem from last 1 year. It’s production is more than average even when I have no cough or cold problem. I always feels like mucus is stacked between my nose and mouth but when I try to through very little comes out.Mucus colour is white and very sticky. I don’t have my respiratory or asthma problem.Please suggest 1. why it's happening and what to do. 2. Should I visit a doctor? If yes then which specialist to visit. Thank You.

You seem to be having post nasal discharge. Chronic rhinosinusitis and reflux laryngopharyngitis are the most common causes for post nasal discharge. Diagnostic nasal endoscopy and CT scan of paranasal sinuses will confirm chronic rhinosinusitis. Once confirmed appropriate treatment can be planned
