Spreading Hepatitis c
My mother has hepatitis c actually she is diabetic also yesterday I was checking my mother's diabetic with the machine but by mistake the syringe which I had used to her before 8 days dat pierce me.. So r there any chances to me to having hepatitis c

Hello Yes there are chances of spread. But because it was used 8 days back and even if there are any blood drops on it, would have dried up - hence chances are less. Chances of spread also depend upon the HCV RNA load of your mother. You do need to get evaluated by a Hepatologist(liver specialist or gastroenterologist and he would suggest you what to do.
