Hi, to clarify, POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME does not have a fixed cure. When you take pills to get periods regularly, some residual effect of pills remain and you might get periods regularly for few months after stopping pills also. But then once the effect is gone your hormonal imbalance ( due to pcos) will resurface again and you will have period problems. Second about your menses spotting right now, it is so Because of hormonal imbalance. You are only spotting because you are having estrogen breakthrough bleeding ( imbalance in hormone) and not progesterone withdrawal bleeding ( happens when hormones are in balance). Third, if you are a diagnosed case of pcos it is not advisable to wait for more than 10 of delayed periods. In PCOS the most important thing is to get periods regularly, with the help of medicine or normally. The damage done to your ovaries and eggs is much more because of irregular periods than the medicines you take to make it regular ( it is important to weigh the bad and good). With pcos, it always is a few months of naturally regular periods then a few months of delayed periods. Whenever your period is delayed by 10 days, visit your doctor. Fourth, ONLY thing that helps in stopping or delaying the more bad effects of pcos is lifestyle change,- good and regular exercise and strict diet control being two most important pillars.

It may be due to harmonal imbalance If obese diet exercise n lifestyle modification go a long way in treating menstrual problems Dont worry take Regesterone5mg tab morning and night for 5days n wait patiently for 10 to 15 days for periods to start
