Spotting during the mid cycle

Asked for Female, 24 Years

I had a normal 4 day period from 19 - 22 in May, and I experienced spotting today which is around my ovulation date. I am not on regular birth control pills but did take an emergency contraceptive after which I had my period on time and it was normal. Also, haven't indulged in sexual intercourse for over a month. Is the spotting due to ovulation (sudden surge of estrogen)? Should I be worried?
