Spleen removed & now pregnant.
Hi myself Somashekar, my wife Had undergone for surgery & spleen has been removed in last December 2018 & currently she is 6 months pregnant, as per surgeon advise she has to take influenza injection every year & my question is now, can she take that injection now? Will that impact in any form to kid? Or can she postpone that injection till baby get deliver. Kindly Suggest. Thanks in advance.

She can take vaccination against infection but I would like to suggest you u should consult with gynecologist.

Influenza vaccine can/should be taken by pregnant women. Not contraindicated /harmful to the foetus.
