Soreness and tightness in throat
I feel tightness and soreness in the lower throat and slight pain in the chest only in the evenings. My PFT TEST, CHEST PA XRAY AND ECG is normal but still I get these symptoms . I m on medication given by my physician and i m taking a seroflo inhaler as well with deriphyiliin tablet which give me relief to breathe but the soreness feeling stays as it is. Please suggest and give me some medicine to get permanent relief.

Hi...the soreness and tightness in the throat can be because of Laryngopharyngeal reflux which causes a foreign body and burning sensation in the throat. If you are taking seroflo on a regular basis for relief...it means you need to get evaluated for asthma...kindly share pft and other reports if possible. You can take antacids for the soreness in the throat and get yourself evaluated for the same by an ENT specialist

Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat, MS ENT. Based on your symptoms, the most probable diagnosis is laryngopharyngeal reflux, which may be causing the sensation of tightness, dryness, and soreness in your throat.
Next Steps
Take antacid syrup and proton pump inhibitor tablets. Which can relieve your symptoms but not the cause.
Health Tips
The first step is to make some lifestyle modifications. Engage in regular morning exercise, avoid excessive consumption of tea and spicy foods, and try not to remain fasting for more than 3 to 4 hours. Additionally, avoid overeating in a single sitting.
