Sore throat
My husband is having sore throat since last 4 days. He had fever also sometimes. He is taking cefoprox , cipzen d and megadol/ dolo ( when required for fever ). He is not getting respite completely thought his throat is better. His LFT done on 15.7.16 shows total bilirubin 1.4, i direct bilirubin 0.8, serum SGOT 52. He is not feeling hungry and felt little nauseatic today while having lunch. His CBC done on 16.7.16 shows RBC count as 4.38, red cell distribution width as 11.4 % and lymphocytes as 13%. He is prone to sore throat and had viral last month as well and had to take antibiotics. Earlier due to this problem he took homeopathic treatment and was relieved for sometime but problem resurfaced when he has to take antibiotic for someother problem.What should be reason and course of treatment.

Hi there I understand your concern.... His direct bilirubin levels are increased nauseated feeling may be due to that...it may be due to obstruction obstruction in biliary tract consult nearest surgeon for clinical examination they will help you further...for sore throat Drink plenty of water,eat soft foods like cooked cereal, mashed potatoes, soft fruits, yogurt and soft-cooked eggs...give adequate rest to your body..Avoid spicy foods or acidic foods. Gargle with warm salt water. gargling several times a day can help relieve throat pain....
