Son had his first non provoked seizure
My son had his first non provoked seizure yesterday. My father had a seizure in childhood and later after 50. Will my son inherit this and have recurring seizures ? Or is there even a remote possibility of outgrowing the seizures without medications. Please answer. This incident is freaking me out.

If it’s a febrile seizure, you can outgrow the seizure by controlling body temperature. However, no one can predict seizure recurrence. Having a good lifestyle will prevent further seizures.
