Somatoform disorder is a category of disorders which are characterized by
* Presence of physical symptoms that suggest a medical condition but are not fully explained by any known medical reasons and points towards psychiatric condition.
* multiple pain symptoms
* it causes significant distress
In recent years many symptoms has been included in this ..
Common characteristics what patients tell us .. i m sharing here ..
1. Blood investigation / MRI/ CT brain etc are normal but doctor why i m suffering from this ??
2. Why symptoms keep on changing its character and location ??
3. Tried multiple treatment options but no relief
And so on ..
This is very important area in clinical field .
