Soft tissue sarcoma
Hello doctor. I'm a medical student and I want to know how common are soft tissue sarcoma in India? Are they very common or rare? I did some research and found out that in America the incidence rate is 3 in 100,000 people. What about India? It's difficult to clear doubts in online classes so I thought I'd ask the doctors here. Thank you.

The analysis of large SEER database shows that the age adjusted incidence of sarcomas arising in soft tissues is 3.1/100,000 irrespective of gender6. These rates are a little higher in men (3.8/100,000) than women (2.6/100,000)6. In India, among children the incidence varies between 3.6% at Delhi to 14.8% at Barshi among males and 3.7% at Bangalore to 9.5% at Bhopal among females
