Yes, but it does not cure it, but merely temporarily numbs that spot. It is best done just before food. Give your child plenty of fluids as in most cases, this is a sign of dehydration and consequent stress! Supplements like chia seeds in fruit juices are also helpful.
If it still persists, meet an ENT Specialist locally to help you.
