First of all, a commonly asked and good query.
Skin lightening creams should be used with caution taking care it does not have any steroid molecule unless prescribed specifically by a Dermatologist.
Milder molecules containing Vit C, Arbutin, Kojic acid, Bearberry extract , Mulberry etc are safer.
Sun protection in form of applying sunscreen lotion and wearing protective gear is more useful.
