  4. Skin tags around the neck region. Last?

Skin tags around the neck region
I have developed skin tags around my neck. I visited dermatologist and she advised removal by cautery. She said after removal there will be temporary discoloration of the skin. Is the discoloration too much and how many days it last? I have a family function to attend so she suggested to get it done atleast 1 week in advance.
