Hello! We need to check the affected area to see the extent of the infection. Generally skin around that area should be maintained dry to avoid further aggravation of intertrigo. Treatment should be started and also his comorbities such as diabetes should be assessed. Wearing socks and sweating creates a more moist environment which increases the fungal growth. It’s better to wear open footwear for ventilation.

Wearing socks leads to increase sweating so should not wear. For better diagnosis-- examination is needed. So share the photos of affected area.
