Skin discolorisation
Hi , I visited a skin doctor few months ago due to a bump on my tattoo (on a small red colour part of my tattoo). I had the tattoo for about 8 months but my red colour part of tattoo bump was not healing properly. The doctor said it was lichen planus and gave me a injection (I don't know injection name). And gave me a cream named Lozivate-MF to apply on it. I applied the cream for few days. After some days the bump disappeared but the skin around the place where I took injection is now getting decolorised and getting white. I fear that it's vitiligo or what. No one of my family has skin discolorisation problem. Kindly let me know what is this.

It is post intralesional steroid injection depigmentation. It is not vitiligo & It will not spread to other body area. It is one of the complications of intralesional steroid injection. Unfortunately there is no definite treatment for this but with time it may reduce.
