In this age, there could be coexisting adenoid hypertrophy i.e. enlarged tissue in the back end of the nose that coulld lead to nose block and snoring.  A ct scan of paranasal sinuses would be ideal to evaluate further and determine the treatment accordingly, whether medical or surgical treatment. Topical steroid nasal spray can be useful.
