Hello.
I had to take Vermox today because my toddler has worms.
Took the pill 5 o'clock. At 6 I felt that it was a beginning infection in my throat. At 7.30 my throat and tounge was very swollen .
The nurse on the phone said I should come to see the doctor. But the emergency room is crazy busy today so I was wondering what the swelling is a sign of? After I spoke with them I'm experiencing pain in neck and head. What can this be?
Should I wait and see if it gets better?

Swelling in the tongue and facial region is suggestive of angioneuretic oedema which may be due to allergy towards the medications you have taken. It should be treated immediately because it can even cause breathing problems
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist or physician immediately for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
