Side effects of metformin
My mother feels nauseous, vomiting, diarrhoea and mettalic taste in mouth after having metformin. Should v stop using it? Any remedy for the side-effects? Also, any alternative medicine for diabetes without side-effects

Metformin is the best medicine but may cause this side effects in some patients. Can be minimised by taking it after meals or reducing doses. If needed another drug can be added choice of which depends on many factors
