Side effects of homeopathy

Asked for Female, 34 Years

Does homeopathic medicines have any side effects if taken for a long time? My sons both 6 years and 3 yeras old have been taking homeopathic treatment for around 3 years and 2 years respectively. They are allergic to dust and cow's milk and used to have severe cold, tonsillitis and high fever but are now better with homeopathy treatment.
