My mother was suffering from UTI. Now after taking months of antibiotics... we did urine culture.. now the report says no growth of e coli bacteria. But she is having burning sensation while peeing (doctor also did cystoscopy).
Now the issue is we went for a check up and the doctor prescribed Martifur as she was complaining of burning sensation while peeing.
She have taken martifur for 3 days and now she is experiencing about nausea, gas, burning sensation at night in body and weakness in whole body.
In this case what needs to be done? Should she stop taking the antibiotic?
I asked this question keeping in mind that antibiotics should not be stopped without consulting.
