I feel this could be an injury due to excessive swimming in the wrong manner, its a severe pain on the left shoulder next to the neck and next to the shoulder blades.

Hello there Most of the cases which i see having similar symptoms turn out to be unilateral trapezius muscle spasm...which occours due to improper movement or placing undue stress on trap muscle. Its a minor worry...usually gets well with local application of dicofinac gel and proper stretching...if not then with certain electro physio modalities and prescription muscle relaxants. Do get back for proper treatment plan Regards
