I have pain around my left shoulder blade, radiating to arm with numbness of index finger since 4 weeks. Doctor say cervical problem. On medication Ultracet for 3 week, changed to Pregbalin 75 since 5 days. Everyone say go for physiotherapy, my orthopaedic doctors say no exercise. Please advise best treatment options.

You are most probably suffering from cervical spondylitis. Physiotherapy should be done. Exercise in the acute phase is not to be done. You should continue with the medication. Avoid using pillow, and if the pain is severe and not responding to pain killers, you may need cervical collar. It will be better if you can discuss with your orthopaedic surgeon regarding further information about your disease and treatment and its prognosis.
